.props.to.microsoft.customer.service.

i just wanted to take the time to say that microsoft customer service was surprisingly very helpful to me yesterday. maybe it was the nature of my question - our wireless has been in and out for the past few weeks - so i just needed to try and fix it myself. maybe that's an easy issue to solve for them. it wasn't so much they were able to fix the issue, but the way B.J. (my customer service rep) asked questions, was very polite, spoke clearly (and in english!), and didn't make me feel stupid. that's saying a lot. i'm guessing they go thru so much training and are taught how to diagnose issues; but i wonder how long their training is...whatever it is, it works. so thanks microsoft customer service! our wireless is working well (*knock on wood*).

.blah.

i'm feel like i'm going back to that blah place. i'm scrambling to stop complaining and do something about it. i think i need to start volunteering. maybe i'll be able to be exposed to different things that i'll find out i like doing.

it was a relaxing weekend. i slept a lot. ran 5 miles on the lakefront on saturday. it was so refreshing and i remembered why i loved running so much 2 years ago. this year i've been dreading going to ballys to run on that stupid treadmill. i get so board after 2 miles, i can barely continue. but running outside is so much more invigorating.

my dad was so cute on the phone today. i was able to get pretty good seats for the sox/angels on 5/11. he was kind iffy at first when i said i had tickets. then i told him where the seats are (up the left field line, 2 rows from the field), and who they're playing (the angels), and he got all excited. like a little kid. he was going to check with my mom first, but then when he heard these last 2 points, he was all, 'OK, I'M IN!' haha. it's nice to be able to give him something nice.

this is the last week of bootcamp. i'll have to continue with the exercises and pair it up with the running. my goal is to at least try to train for the full marathon. if i can't do it because of this ankle, i'm going to try to do the 1/2. i'm hoping at least that is do-able.

.watch.out.for.sneaky.mcsneaks.

i got a ticket in the mail today. for what, you ask? for a red light violation. they caught me on film going thru the light at fullerton/damen/elston, eastbound, and then sent me the bill with 3 pictures. 1 just a .5 second before the violation, the actual violation, and then a zoomed in pic of the license plate. clearly, i can't contest. the only thing i can contest is that i don't think it was me. you can kinda make out the shape of a head above the seat; and i'm not that tall. it was probably archie, but i think we were on our way to ballys that morning...or maybe it was just 1 of us. i can't remember, since it was a month ago. but that's another 90 bones that i'm out because of something stuuuuuu-piiiiid.

so watch out chicago drivers. you may not think anyone sees you breaking the law, but big brother's out there.

bastards.

.everwood.

i've said it before and i'll say it again. everwood is one of the best damn tv shows on right now. i'm pretty scared that it'll be cancelled after this season. if they pick up one tree hill and drop everwood, the wb will be dead to me. while i enjoy one tree hill once in a while, there's no way that show has any kind of realism. zip. zilch. but everwood. that's what 'real' tv is about. it's totally relatable - the people, conversations, situations. all of it.

can you tell i LOVE this show??

i really will be bawling if i hear that it's officially over.

if you haven't watched any of it, i suggest you set your tivo. monday nights at 8PM on the WB.

that's all.

.snooze.alert.

SNOOZEVILLE!

so i know i haven't posted in a while. work has been hell the past 3 weeks and in addition, i've been busy with training for the shamrock, helping plan mari's games for her bridal shower, and getting ready for my brother's wedding.

mari's shower was a ton of fun, and i hope everyone had fun too. my main game was 'jeopardy - the mariza & brian edition'...mostly because they are jeopardy manics and tivo it daily. adding the element of competition to a shower is bound to make things a bit more interesting. and can i add that i'm friends with a lot of argumentative people! the rules are the rules, people!

running the shamrock was a lot of fun. ran with lisa b. actually, i ended up chasing her for most of the race, but it made me keep up with my pace. i missed my original goal by 1 minute (my time was 51 minutes), but i think that was pretty successful, especially since i hadn't trained as much as i should have. but that's the goal now. i have to do a lot more cardio and balance out. hopefully things will change within 2 months...

so we just got back from vegas this morning at 8AM. we took the red eye last night that ended up being delayed 2 hours. but lemme back up..

we left for vegas wednesday night. flight was pretty bumpy, but not the worst i've flown through...we ended up meeting up with kuya, janet, rick, lora, and 2 of their friends. but by 1AM, we had enough, and went back to the hotel to rest up for the big day...thursday was beautiful weather, and the chapel was so cute. and they had a drive up window for drive thru ceremonies! haha. i'll probably post a pic or 2 when i upload them to shutterfly. dinner was at regale at excalibur - good italian food..mmmmm...on friday, everyone flew out, but archie and i had 1 full day there before our red-eye flight that night/saturday morning. we had to fly back then because their chicago reception was saturday morning/afternoon (which was this morning)...so archie and i walked all the way up to the wynn, stopping off at hotels on the way. i had to buy new shoes for my outfit this morning, since the ones i was supposed to wear gave me 2 blisters on thursday...and i couldn't imagine wearing them again so soon after those injuries...blech...bcbg shoes are killer. i don't think i can ever buy them again. i need to stick to their dresses. on the walk back, we stopped off at paris, so that i could get a drink in the yard-sized eiffel tower glass that i saw someone on the strip carrying...hey - i had to take advantage of the open bottle rule on the streets of vegas, right? so we walk back to the mgm with this huge glass of strawberry marguarita...it was pretty good...we waited around a bit, then went to the buffet...however, shortly after that, archie had to go to the bathroom, in an exploding kind of way (tmi, i know, but hey, we're all internet friends here), so he left me at the table to finish eating my dessert of fruit and a cookie...i thought my stomach would be stronger...but after i finished at the buffet, i walked back out into the casino to meet up with archie again, and felt the rumble in my tummy...and i guess you can imagine what happened after that...*puke*

anyways, our flight was delayed 2 hours, which meant that as soon as we got back to the condo, we had to jump in the shower, get ready, then get to the reception location by 10AM. i didn't think i'd make it thru, but 3 cups of coffee did the trick. and i'm still awake now. so i'm guessing i'll just need to catch up tonight...but now i feel like i can breathe, and have a bit of time to recouperate before mari's bachelorette party...hopefully that will go well..woohoo!

it's wierd thinking of both me and my brother married...i wonder which one of us will be popping out the 1st kid..not that i want anyone to ask (i was asked twice today), but we'll see. i hope it's him first. i mean, he is 6 years older than me... :)

i think i need to go to sleep...*yawn*
