.another.morning.end.to.the.day.
it's the 2nd straight night of working until at least 2AM. and we'll probably have to do this tomorrow too. ugh. this reminds me too much of my project last year. i need to get outta here...and soon. i shoulda taken 2 weeks of vacation. then i would have missed all this mad testing. i would feel bad for these people staying up late to finish up...but not really. at least we're all here together, and not working on our own...

last night i got back to my hotel around 2:30AM, walked into my hotel, and to my room, and what did i find? my room was propped open by the swinging lock thingy. i've stayed at A LOT of hotels this past year, and i have to say, this has never happened to me. i mean, isn't it common sense to shut the door of a hotel guest after you barge in to do whatever your job is? i first thought it was the housekeeper...but this morning, i had a chat with the manager, and she said it was a maintenance guy who was fixing the grout in my bathroom. so i complained and all i got was a measly free night at the courtyard. yay. what the hell am i going to do with a free night at the courtyard? who cares? the manager said that she couldn't adjust my rate because i made my reservation through priceline. who cares?? just give me my money back for one night. it's not that hard lady. i work long hours and the last thing i need to worry about is if my hotel room has been propped open ALL day. and for those worriers out there, i did not walk into the hotel room by myself. i had to walk all the way to the front desk (and it is far) and had one of the male employees walk me up and check out my room before i went in. he coulda been more friendly, but you can't win em all...

i can't wait to go home.

oh, and on a happier note, i won another ebay auction! it's for that purse that archie tried to get me for my bday...it's sold out nationwide at all the coach stores and outlets, but i knew i could find it on ebay. so i waited...and pounced right at the 30 second mark. ebay nazi! just bid and nab that shit up. i bet the girl who had the winning bid all afternoon went crazy mad. but she better learn her lesson. she was busy bidding 10 times, raising the price each time, when she could have just waited until the end and keep the price down for the rest of the bidders (like me). learn your lesson people! don't keep bidding!

home soon? please?

.what.me.change?.

this new blogger template thing is different...cooler looking for sure...i don't know why i haven't written here in a while. not much to say, i guess. and now that i'm kinda back, this whole thing has changed. good? sure. better? maybe. but sometimes you just like coming back to something that you know. but overall, the new look isn't bad at all...

i'm on my week vacation right now, just chillin in chicago. i love it here. i love not having anything too bad to worry about. i love being able to just do something and go somewhere within an hour's notice. i love just being by myself and walking the city. hopefully i can get a local job soon. the thought of flying out next week is torture. which reminds me, i have to book my flight for next week...this online travel reservations site is the slowing site around..you would think that since we have so many consultants as part of the company, that someone could make up a faster application. pwc did..why not now??! this thing is a piece of crap.

20 minutes later...

it really shouldn't be taking this long to buy a frickin plane ticket...

ok, so all my travel arrangements have been made. phew.

oh, i finally got us a lan line at the condo. woohoo!

any other updates?...oh, we painted the bedroom cherry cobbler. very red red. i love it. i think archie could take it or leave it. i still want to paint one more wall red, so maybe i can get to it this week/weekend...

i went through the horribly painful procedure of eyebrow threading yesterday...it was like i was sitting in the electric chair, aiding my own demise. seriously, for those of you who have no clue what i'm talking about....the thread-ee sits in a hairdresser chair, and puts her head back (this includes slouching, so the thread-ee's head actually is resting on the back of the chair)...then the thread-ee has to hold her eyelid and part of her forehead (the part that is above the eyebrow) taute, so that the thread-er doesn't have a hard time threading away the thread-ee's skin, along with the unwanted hairs. it is perhaps one of the most painful processes i've ever been through. granted, it only lasted 4 minutes, tops....but the pain in excruciating. this is why i have doubts about having my own kids. i mean, can i really push a living being out of me, and still be alive afterwards?

.google.this.

has anyone else downloaded the beta version of this google toolbar? it's awesome! it blocks pop ups and lets me blog stuff quickly...woohoo. hopefully it will continue to work this well. it's nice not having to close all those annoying pop up windows.

have you signed yourself up at that do not call web site? they must have had some consultants working last weekend to improve its performance because it's hella faster now. i'm talking seconds. i'm glad i waited and didn't waste my time last week for the 500 Server Errors to appear. go gov.

ok, i just made a major booboo and messed up one of these phones here..oops. my bad. now i have 2 developers helping me to right my wrong...and now we have just made another wrong. shit.

anyways, tomorrow is the drive back and the stop in michigan city indiana to the outlet malls...woohoo! however, i will be watching my pennies. can't spend too much money on cra. the condo is getting too full anyways...

gotta finish up my screw-up...
