.2004: the.year.in.review.

since it's almost a month into the new year, let's quickly recap 2004:

january:
- new year, new start, new attitude. i remember the goal was that i get out of the rut, and focus on something tangible.

february:
- 19th. we finally made it! 5 years. i remember really feeling like we made it. i mean reached
the point. not because it was the actual anniversary. but because i felt myself getting out of the fog. and it's partly because of him. patience is a virtue!

march:
- hrm. not much must have happened...oh! i think i decided to start running for real...that's the
main goal of 2004.

april:
- first real race: the shamrock shuffle. i struggled, but eventually made it.
- 9th. engaged! where we met. bling bling

may:
- hawaii!
- still running...soldier field 10 mile run. i made it. woohoo!

june:
- decided the day before official training that i was going to run the chicago marathon. i know...me?? a runner?? i hated it with a PASSION. but now it's my thing. that's something a good friend once told me during the bad months: everyone needs a goal. whether it be a goal for the year or for your life.

july:
- training for the marathon continues...
- help annie and marcel prepare for their wedding.
- my own wedding planning begins...between the photographer availability and reception site, the date is pushed out until oct 2005.

august:
- final prep for annie and marcel's wedding...
- marathon training continues in the heat...running farther than i ever thought i would...

sept:
- annie and marcel's wedding! the most love-filled wedding i've ever attended and been a part of...
- final prep races...
- final training...

oct:
- 10th. chicago marathon! one the best things i've ever done in my life. hopefully will be able to run it again this year!
- one of my favorite couples breaks up. *sniff*

nov:
- good reviews at work. asked to be on a new high profile project.
- lots more coworker happy hours...;)

dec:
- work ramps up and too busy to do any christmas shopping..
- the holidays are fun filled as usual
- decided to run the 2005 marathon, even though it's 1 week before my wedding...woohoo!

other ins and outs:
- saw john mayer at least 3 times in concert. there is seriously no one better than him.
- started snowboarding...maybe it'll be the 2nd sport i'm somewhat good at...
- bought the last pink ipod mini, the day they came out. how's that for a good consumer?

if there are more, i'll update the entry..i'm sure other things will come up...

.it's been forever, old friends.

i know, i know. i haven't blogged in forever. there has just been no time.

so just a quick shout to say i'm still alive. working my ass off. juggling work, planning our wedding, running, and having fun.
