so i signed up for the Photo I session at the chicago photography center, and my 1st class is tuesday night.

i'm starting to get nervous. like about-to-shit-in-my-pants nervous. i think it's a combination of the realization of finally taking this class after years of wanting to take it, general excitement, and the fear that i may suck at this. right now, i'm kind of thinking, 'oh, i could be good at this.' but this class could prove differently. i know it won't be the end all be all of me taking pictures, but it's still scary to be doing this, and actually trying to take pictures, instead of me just ending up with a good shot. what if i suck? what if i totally don't have an eye for this? what if the instructor tells me i should find another hobby? i signed up for the b&w film class instead of digital, even though the digital photo I class will most likely be more useful. i've always wanted to learn how to develop my own film; although i'll miss the ease of just uploading digital pictures. but at least i have a scanner at home, so if any of my film shots do turn out well, i'll post here. :)

anyways, now that i've gotten that out, i'm sure everything will be just fine....right? the next 8 weeks should be interesting.

we went out for christine's chicago bachelorette party last night. started out at celebrity, which was a bitch to find, btw, and then moved on to ohm. i kinda wish we didn't leave celebrity because the music and the crowd was fun. ohm was more for the old school club kids with its trance music. but it was still fun. christine was wasted, even before she got to celebrity, but she, mari, and i started out with jager bombs anyways. go big or go home! i can't wait for the wedding...anyways some highlights of the night that i can divulge:
  • gus got us all uofi orange shirts that say 'we love head' on the front and have #4 and Illini on the back...of course that's in reference to luther head, who used to play for illinois 2 years ago...get your mind out of the gutter!...
  • there was some random couple who was hanging out with us at both celebrity and ohm...i thought they were work friends with chris, but apparently, r met them in line...they're in all our pics and alan making comments on their dancing style. let's just say it was...interesting.
  • ohm had some freaky ass dancers, and i'm pretty sure they were all tourists. typical since the music was trance. the best part of going to ohm are the resulting pictures, which i'm sure christine would not want me to post. but as i was reviewing them a few minutes ago, i was laughing so much that i started crying...good times

i'm watching that show brothers and sisters right now, and i have to say, i can't wait until the fall season. it's surprisingly very touching and the acting/storylines are better than those stupid reality shows that are plaguing almost every other channel right now. booooorr-rrrrrriiiiing.

ok, i'm sure i'll post after tuesday, to discuss either how i had fun at my photog class, or how overwhelmed i felt.
